Pacific Ocean
Because the International Date Line runs through the Pacific Ocean, some Pacific countries are ahead of GMT, while others are behind. The spread of timezones is GMT+1000 to GMT+1245 and
GMT-0600 to GMT-1100.
- American Samoa: GMT-1100
- Australian Territories: GMT+1030/GMT+1130
- Easter Island: GMT-0500
- Fiji: GMT+1200
- French Polynesia: GMT-1000
- Galapagos Islands: GMT-0600
- Gambier Island: GMT-1000
- Hawaii, USA: GMT-1000
- Juan Fernandez (Robinson Crusoe) Islands: GMT-0500
- Kiribati: (Kiribati has two main island groups, one on each
side of the International Date Line. Hence, the local time difference between
